The men of Ardrahan can safely look forward to Senior Hurling in 2013 thanks to this hard fought win over neighbours Clarinbridge last weekend. The game, played in Kenny Park, was a tough tense affair with little between the sides with each having their own periods of momentum. Clarinbridge took an early lead, but by half time Ardrahan had it taken over (1-5 to 0-7). There are two exciting matches in store this weekend as the SENIOR SHIELD semi-finals take place. This weekend two of the remaining three GULLANES HOTEL Junior B Quarter Finals go ahead with Seasiders Salthill-Knocknacarra taking on near and coastal neighbours Oranmore-Maree, and Cappataggle taking on south Galway's men of Ardrahan. First up Saturday, Salthill-Knocknacarra and Oranmore-Maree take to the field in Ballindereen. Both these sides came out of Group C and when they clashed back in June Salthill came out winners only by a couple of points. On Monday in Turloughmore the fourth of this years GULLANES HOTEL Junior A quarter-finals takes place. It brings together the unique pairing of two Junior Clubs Barna-Furbo and Sylane. Both sides will be hoping to claim a Semi Final spot against the winners of Portumna and Castlegar who drew last week.
