The second semi-final in this years GULLANES HOTEL JUNIOR A takes place tomorrow as the hurlers of Barna-Furbo face the hurlers of Castlegar for a right to play in this years final. The Connemara side have been solid all year, coming out of a very tough group, and then pipping Sylane by a single point in the quarter-final. This tie against Castlegar will be another level up, and the westerners would dearly love to beat their city opponents and get a chance to lift some silverware. Castlegar are coming into this tie on the back of a 3 match...

The second of this years Junior C1 Semi Finals sponsored by Gullane's Hotel is down for decision in Ballindereen on Saturday at 2.00pm between Ballinasloe and Moycullen to see who earns a place in the final to face Kilbeacanty. The Moycullen men had to go to a replay to get over a very resilient Sylane team in their quarter-final, and only last weekend their Minors were victorious over Sarsfields in the B1 Final, so that is bound to be a big boost. Three or four of these Minors could well feature in this game such is their physical strength...

Junior B quarter-final replay

Wednesday 14th November, 2012

Last Saturday in Loughrea, Killimor and Sarsfields played out a hard fought draw in which scores seemed very hard to come by. They will both rue a lot of missed chances and both will be out to make amends when they meet again in Ballinasloe on Saturday at 2.00pm. This was Killimor's second time in a row to hold the opposing team to the score of 2-03, as the week previous they held Tynagh Abbey Duniry to exactly the same and TAD scored all that in the first half. I went to see that game in Duniry and although Killimor conceeded two early goals they...
