30 years ago in 1982, Galway minor hurlers reached the All-Ireland final for the second year in a row. In the final Galway were to face Tipperary, as we searched for that elusive first All-Ireland title win at minor hurling. The two counties had previously met in finals in 1933, 1947, 1955 and 1957 with Tipperary victorious in all four occasions. Galway had lost the previous year's final in 1981, losing to Kilkenny in the decider. In 1982, Tipperary had regained their Munster title by defeating Cork, Clare and then Limerick in the final....
