Ballygar H.C. Notes   20/12/2012

The Award Presentation night for Galway juvenile club of the year 2012 was held in the Mattie McDonagh Centre, Ballygar on Saturday night last. Ballygar H.C would like to especially thank our invited guests : Pat Kearney, Jim Carney, Michael O'Hehir, Brian Mahony and 2012 Young Hurler of the Year Johnny Coen for their attendance, and their excellent contributions to the proceedings, in particular Johnny Coen who spoke so passionately and confidently for a man of his years.

The night was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A huge crowd was in attendance to mark this great occasion for our club. It was a fitting tribute to those who put many hours of time and effort into our Juvenile players. The centre never looked so well, it was kitted out to the "nines" with our club colours and childrens art work, many hours of preperation work went into decorating the centre, and to all those that helped out here we are most grateful.

A huge spread of food was on offer to all in attendance and to the army of volunteers who prepared this we are so lucky to have people in our Club like you.

All the underage players received a memento of the occasion presented by Johnny Coen.

Finally to thank all club officers, especially officers of the juvenile committee for organising this event. It took many hours of planning to execute it to this level of high standards which we have now come to expect. There are too many people to name but to all we are most grateful. Many Thanks to everyone who attended the great celebration, and we hope you enjoyed the event. It is because of you and your continued support that we won this award. We have only just begun and hope to have you on board through our great journey ahead. We will succeed together . As was said many times on the night .....passion, commitment and pride in the jersey is all it takes.

Also on the night we launched our new collection of Official GAA club merchandise which includes Beanie Hats and Club Scarfs which make excellent stocking fillers at this time of year. They are available to purchase in Centra Ballygar or contact us via Facebook or Twitter.
