Mullagh and Meelick meet again in Junior C semi   26/10/2012

With Athenry already through to the GULLANE'S HOTEL Junior C Final, it is taking another replay to decide who will meet them in the decider.

Last weekend the Athenry side proved too strong for their Tynagh-Abbey-Duniry opponents in their semi-final (3-15 to 0-6). The winners looked strong and skillful and were well able to take their scores up front. They also have a very tight set of backs and are well capable of holding the threat of their opposing forward units.

The second semi between close rivals Mullagh and Meelick-Eyrecourt ended in a 2-9 apiece draw, and so the sides will meet again this weekend to see who advances to the final.
Both sides will know that they have more in the tank and that they can improve on their performances. In saying that, they will also know that the same performance will not be enough this time around as their opponents can also play better.
Replays are always hard ones to call, and can often not pan out as expected. Bottom line is both these two sides are not going to give up on a place in a county final too easy, so we can expect all out here again and another tough encounter with little to separate the sides at the final whistle.
