Ballygar win U12 Luke Daly Memorial Tournament!   18/09/2012

Congrats to the BALLYGAR side on defeating Kilconieron in the final on Sat. last in the Niall Walsh field. This was a very entertaining game played in a very sporting manner in which both sides produced some excellent passages of play.  Our Club would like to thank the Kilconieron & Ahascragh-Fohenagh clubs for participating in this tournament. All 3 Clubs involved showed very high skill levels & commitment, and this is testimony to the amount of work that each club has put into their juvenile development. - Very well done to all.

- We would once again like to thank the Daly family for their kind and generous sponsorship of this tournament in memory of our great friend Luke. Luke was a keen sportsman with a special interest in the development of our young players.
Each participating player received a hurling grip & the winners also recieved a dozen sliotars for their club. Ballygar Captain, Simon Thomas received the Shield on behalf of his team, and The Luke Daly Memorial Cup will once again stay in our club.

- Many thanks to everyone who helped make The Luke Daly Memorial Cup tournament such a success and most enjoyable day. Your efforts were very much appreciated.   Ballygar hurling club would like to congratulate club stalwart Hugh Mannion on acting as an umpire in Croke Park  for the All-Ireland Junior Camogie final.

BALLYGAR 3-06 : 0-07 Ahascragh-Fohenagh
- Well done to all involved.
